Why Michael Thompson?

During the summer of 2020 when MPM President Russ Akins was in Denver, an old friend gave him Michael's book "The Heart of a Warrior".  Russ read the book and thought the book addressed some of the fundamental issues that hold men down from becoming who God has envisioned them to become.           After he read the book, he bought several copies and gave them to his 3 sons, and to some other men in his life that he wanted to hear Michael's message. Michael soon reached out on the to Russ to see who was buying multiple copies of the book.  They found out that they had several friends in common through ministry work from decades past and that Michael has a growing men's ministry.

The rest of the MPM Men's Ministry planning team read or surveyed the book, and after prayerful consideration agreed that Michael would be a timely speaker to invite to an MPM Men's Getaway.  We reached out, and he was available and willing to plan to come.

The Heart of a Warrior draws you in and something magical happens— God starts speaking clearly to the Heart! This book is amazing and so well done."

"Just finished The Heart of a Warrior. I cried. It is as important as Wild at Heart was to my world. It is what I deeply believe and how I want to be known."
