Action Bible Ministry- A ministry to give away Action Bibles for free to any open hand.
The Action Bible Ministry is a coordinated effort to give school age children, youth and anyone that will read one an action Bible! The Action Bible is the Bible in Comic strip form published by David C. Cook, and illustrated by a talented, former Marvel Comic illustrator, Sergio Cariello. This captivating illustrated Bible, in Graphic novel form, has powerfully communicated God's Word and redemptive story to people of every age and background in a chronological manner that is very inviting to people who may typically be intimidated by the complete Bible. The Action Bible ministry has given away the Action Bible, Bibles, and devotionals in English and Spanish for free to local children, families and individuals in Eagle County, Indian Reservations, orphanages, Bible camps, rodeos, festivals, after school programs, Covid hope outreaches, churches, youth groups, VBS, sports teams, jails, prisons and juvenile detention centers as well as outreaches through inner city churches, Ireland and Mexico. There are countless testimonies of families and individuals who have been touched by these Action Bible gifts. The reason we give these away is that our culture is so bombarded by constant information and media, that it is hard to find sources of truth. We are placing the truth of God's love in people's hands and in their homes in a manner that is easy to understand.
In the 1980's a Sunday School teacher named Carol Sheaffer at Forest Grove PA, sacrificially used her own money to buy copies of the older version of the Action Bible, called the Picture Bible, for her 5 students. One of them was MPM staff member Austin Krokos. For three years his older sister saw this book in his room or on the shelf and felt a strong conviction she had to read it someday. Finally, one summer in 8th grade she read the Picture Bible in three days. God used this book to start her faith in God and the realization that His word was powerful and true. She immediately asked her mother to buy her a real Bible, which she began reading. This changed her and her family's lives. Now she and others whose lives have been changed by the love of God, want to share the same gift of God's Word: His wisdom, love and redemption through His son, Jesus Christ. It is beautiful to see how a single seed, one Sunday School teacher planted- has gone on to produce well over 10,000 fold. Please pray with us for these precious people who have received Action Bibles; that they would grow in their relationship with God and be used by Him to bless others. Austin's older sister, who wishes to remain anonymous is the one who is the main person who funds and gives Bibles away through this ministry though other staff and volunteers help regularly.
We give away Action Bibles in parks, grocery store parking lots, to jails, schools, public libraries, and Native American tribal centers. If you have a questions, please call Austin Krokos, or email him at [email protected]
