Campus Ministry Interning

The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. - Jesus

We are praying for others to join us in preparing others to reach and influence the world for Christ!  Interning and serving on staff with Master Plan Ministries are awesome opportunities to make an eternal impact for the Lord!  Master Plan staff must be willing to engage others in evangelism and discipleship in many different contexts.   If you think God is calling you to share the Gospel message, lead Bible studies, mentor college students spiritually, lead retreats, teach at weekly worship gatherings, and hang out with young adults and help them to cultivate their faith in Jesus, this may be for you!
Master Plan is currently looking for campus ministry interns that will receive training in evangelism, discipleship, Ministry Partner Development (fundraising) and MPM distinctives so that they can succeed and thrive in ministry.  We are looking to expand our team at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction and Fort Lewis College in Durango.  We also have potential to grow in Adam's State University in Alamosa, CO and San Juan College in Farmington, NM.  If a candidate has extensive experience with a like minded ministry as Master Plan, we could consider training them to be a campus director with us.

Profile of a potential staff candidate for a campus staff missionary:
  • Has a huge heart for God, His Word, and the lost.
  • Is 21 years old or older
  • Is generally found faithful, and teachable to MPM staff and leadership
  • Has graduated from high school, has a bachelor or associates college degree, or has other distinguishable post high school education or experiences that are useful in being a campus missionary. This education or experiential learning will need to be written into an essay of 1,000-2,000 words explaining what they have learned, and how it is relevant to expanding God’s Kingdom.
  • Has a good understanding of the Scriptures, and is willing to share the Gospel message with those that may be lost and may even be discovered to oppose the Gospel.
  • Has he ability to communicate clearly and articulate Scriptures that teaches others.
  • Is willing to receive training in ministry partner development and be willing to talk to others about their calling and invite them to join their ministry prayerfully and financially.
  • Willing to be held accountable to a high standard of abstinence from sexual immorality.
  • Willing to sign our statement of faith and statement of Biblical social beliefs.

Campus ministry interns will serve on a team with a Director, a Staff Women's Director and likely other team mates as well.  Internships are typically a full academic year.  Staff commitments are a minimum of 2 years.  Candidates whose applications are received by March 31 have the greatest chance of serving on campus for the next school year beginning in the fall.
