Packing List - Sportsman's Getaway

These are the recommended items needed for the Getaway.

Master Plan is not an outfitter and as such is not responsible for supplying any hunting supplies or equipment.

Hunting and fishing equipment is recommended if you plan to hunt and fish and is listed here for informational purposes only.


Personal
  • Sleeping Bag or Sheets & Blanket (the beds are a singles)
  • Pillow
  • Personal Meds / Tylenol / Advil
  • Small / Personal First-Aid Kit
  • Soap / Shampoo
  • Shower Towel
  • Bible
  • Journal / Notebook
  • Pen / Pencil

Vehicle Note:
4-wheel drive will give you access to more places, but is not necessary.

Clothing
Plan to dress in layers for cold early mornings and warm afternoons.  Temps could range from 10 to 75 degrees.
  • Hiking Boots (leather or nylon, broken in, waterproofed)
  • Second pair of warm lightweight shoes
  • Blaze orange hat & vest for outdoor activity visibility by hunters.
    • While hunting, CO law states you must wear both.
  • Winter Coat / Snow Pants / Winter Gloves
    • It may snow...

Equipment (optional)
  • Guns / Ammo / Hunting License (required if hunting)
  • OnX Hunt (with maps downloaded)
  • Rain Gear (large poncho with hood is best - a rain jacket / suit works too)
  • One or Two 32 oz. water bottles (or equivalent water bladder)
  • Lightweight Daypack or large-capacity fanny pack
  • Flashlight / Headlamp (spare batteries are recommended)
  • Rod or Spin-Cast Rod & Tackle (if fishing)
  • Waders (if fishing or crossing rivers while hunting)
  • Light winter gloves
  • Binoculars
  • GPS
  • Fly tying kit (if fishing and if you have one)
  • Hunting Knife (and sharpener)
  • ​Lighter
  • Survival Gear (in case you get lost while in the wilderness)
  • ​e-Bike
